There's something satisfying about drawing a het kiss rather than a slash one...I have no idea why, probably cos I'm out of practice. XD I swear I would have loved the movie that much more if this had been the canon pairing. X)

Done because in every animated movie there's always an epic MOMENT defining kiss...or at least an attempt to have one. Sometimes it's even in the dark too...maybe it's more romantic that way. |D

Let's see, they had it in: Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Anastasia, Thumbelina, Ferngully, The Little Mermaid, Hercules...and of course in the 'If I Never Knew You' segment in Pocahontas, which is what this is based off of.

Massive awkwardness turns into a confession of sorts. Another random scene from the AU fanfic I want to write. They probably got into a fight...I wouldn't be surprised.

Panel 4 is love because nuzzles are made of win and any sort of smile on Kocoum is skjksdjfksfk. That's a 'dammit I'm crazy about you' look if I ever saw one. X) Did I mention I love drawing his hair? It's AWESOME. 8D

It was hard to get the cel shades to match the BG but I think I got there in the end. Sort of. Right?

PS. John/Poca is canon...I don't hate canon, I just think this pairing is a lot more exciting. XD;;
